TRADITIONAL DANCE IN THE REPERTUARY OF CHOREOGRAPHIC GROUPS OF WESTERN PODILLA

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of traditional dance culture of Western Podillia, as an integral part of folk
choreographic art of the specified region and the whole Ukraine as well. The research paper considers the factors influencing the transformational processes of traditional dance culture of the studied region and its current state of functioning. The article
analyzes the activity of amateur children's and student choreographic groups (as well as the only professional academic dance
ensemble – «Nadzbruchanka»), which preserve and popularize the Western Podillia traditional dance samples in their repertoires.
