FORMATION OF THE AUTHOR’S STYLE OF JIJI KILIAN IN THE 1970S

Abstract

The article analyzed the beginning of the balletmaster creativity I. Kilian in the 1970s. And identified the main
features of the author's style, among which are a combination of classical and modern dance. Indicated on the features
of the balletmaster style: ironiness in relation to the conservatism of classical ballet; lack of complex content and
ideological-emotional workload; mainly inconsistency, small forms, ballets in one action; emphasis on feelings and
emotions. The balletmaster believes that the dance should be born from music, but create their own images. Jiří Kilian
crystallized the author's chilemaker style, which has followers and fans around the world.
