the cultural and social life of the country at all social levels, which madecontemporary art a self-sufficient and expressive
phenomenonthatrenewedartisticvisionthroughcommunicationwiththeaudience. In particular, it is stated that contemporary
Ukrainian visual art has moved in search of renewed imagery, surpassing purely aesthetic functions and going beyond
traditional cultural standards. This requires a new series of associations and an update of analytical tools for professionals.
Thus, from the end of the twentieth century. traditions that previously worked within the framework of the «classical» artistic
canon have expanded by updating thematic, figurative and spatio-spatial coordinates, giving artists a vector of development. It
is the artists at this time who become certain leaders who have been able to combine historical images and the latest
technologies in a single artistic synthesis, attesting to the coexistence of culture and time. They brought contemporary art into
the field of cultural-historical memory, because, using «eternal images» of art history, using the methods of borrowing,
quoting, dialogue and imitation, they reflected them in the artistic process.
