VOLODYMYR IVASYUK'S INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC GENRE AND STYLISTIC FEATURES

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the instrumental heritage of Volodymyr Ivasyuk who is the world known Ukrainian composer
and songwriter of the late 20th century. In addition to the song genre, the artist worked hard in such instrumental chamber genres
as suite, instrumental miniature, etc. These genres were used by Ukrainian composers of the second half of the 20 th century. In
orchestral works, the composer used a combination of both classical and «non-classical» compositions. The musical language of
cyclical works, instrumental miniatures, music for the author's theatre performance is colouristically saturated with the richness of
Carpathian folklore using the latest avant-garde composer techniques and modern means of musical expression
