KAROL SZYMANOWSKI’S СREATIVITY IN THE MUSICAL LIFE OF LVIV IN THE FIRST THIRD OF THE XX th CENTURY

Abstract

The article is devoted to Karol Szymanowski and his influence on the musical life of Lviv during the first third of the XXth century. Based on research and archival materials, it has been generalized with a focus on importance of the composer’s creative contribution to the development of local culture. The segments, in which the K. Szymanowski’s influence was manifested, were structured and partially characterized with a more detailed examination of one of them – the performance of the composer’s works in the concert halls of Lviv in the first third of the XXth century.
