ARTISTIC PROCESSES IN THE ACTIVITIES OF DANCE STUDIOS IN KIEV 1910-1920 S
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of artistic processes in the activities of dance studios in Kiev in 1910–1920s. It was found that the training centers were heterogeneous in nature and content of teaching practical material: they taught gymnastics, plastic movement, salon and Ukrainian folk dances, theater choreography (studios of D. Butovetskyi,
I. Buchynskyi, Vasylchenko, F. Vittih and K. Zalevskyi, H. Iierusalymskyi, I. Kuchynskyi, Ya. Lapytskyi, S. Lenchevskyi, S. Lypovetskyi, S. Lysetskyi, T. Loboiko, etc.). A decrease in the usual and traditional in favor of the avant-garde in the work of dance studios began to be observed after 1916, when educational choreographic cells were opened under the
leadership of A. Pashkovska, I. Chystiakov, M. Mordkin, B. Nizhynska.
