Cross-cultural communications have been proven to be an important factor in shaping the local identity of the Volyn dance, it’s originality and multivariate. The analysis of the activities of the leading choreographers of Volyn region in the context of acculturation and transformation of various ethnic traditions of folk choreographic art of the region is carried out. It is established that the dance vocabulary of Volyn was formed through the prism of dialogue of cultures not only of the ethnic regions of Ukraine but also of neighboring ethnic groups. Therefore, it is
important to understand the need to preserve the stylistic basis of a region’s folk dance without using eclecticism in vocabulary, costume or melody in the process of creating a choreographic composition.
