NATIONAL-MENTAL POTENTIAL OF VOLODYMYR IVASIUK’S SONG CREATIVITY: THE PROBLEM OF MUSIC AND POETIC SEMANTICS
Abstract
The national-mental potential of Volodymyr Ivasiuk’s music and poetic creative is analysed and its musicalpoetic semantics is determined on the example of selected works. In order to achieve the stated goal, the concept of «national-mental potential» is substantiated, the main features by V. Ivasiuk’s song creativity through the prism of the mentioned concept, etc. are outlined. As a result, it is argued the following. The cordocentrism as a national-mental trait is manifests in V. Ivasiuk’s song on his poems in connection with such semantic spheres as song, love, woman as Madonna and the nature of his native land. They are interpreted in the musical-poetic texts of many works and analysed on the example of songs such as «Fantasy of May Night», «My Song» and «Ave Maria» in this article. At the same time, the fact of writing Ukrainian songs in the context of anti-Ukrainian Soviet ideology was an act committed by V. Ivasiuk, the importance of which is confirmed by the composer’s tragic death. This testifies to the embodiment of the
second mental sphere, which is associated with freedom, the «spirit of struggle» and «will-the-first» (V. Drahanchuk-Kashaiuk), at the level of the whole artist’s life. In our opinion, the study of V. Ivasiuk’s life through the prism of such a point of view is a scientific perspective question.
