DAVYD BURLIUK: ONE OF UKRAINIAN AVAN-GARDE FOUNDER OR THE ARTIST-EMIGRANT?

Abstract

The article reveals the significance of Davyd Burliuk’s creative works in Ukrainian and world’s culture. His
activity in Ukraine and Russia has been interpreted in the context of bicultural sensitivity of the XXth century first decades. It has been singled out the artist’s role as one of Ukranian avan-garde founder within developing national stylistics expression. The author pays attention to the artist’s creative works in emigration and emphasizes the importance of the XXth century art research in the aspect of synergy method.
