FOLK DANCES OF VOLYN AND VOLYN POLISSIA IN FOLKLORE-ETHNOGRAPHICAL RESEARCHES OF MYKOLA POLIATYKIN

Abstract

The folk dances of Volyn and Volyn Polissia in folklore-ethnographical researches of Mykola Poliatykin, who
contributed a lot to searching and spreading information about folk choreographical art of the region, are analyzed in the article. The author of investigation mentions that Mykola Poliatykin used complex approach to polka definition, vocalchoreographical compositions, games and rituals, using literature-graphical method and gave the recommendations on how to locate the participants on the stage, dramaturgy, relocation, described the choreographical lexics and the stylistics of the movements.
