THE INTERACTION OF POETRY AND MUSIC (BY THE EXAMPLE OF BOHDAN-YURII YANIVSKYI’S VOCAL WORKS WRITTEN ON THE POEM OF B. STELMAKH)

Abstract

This article outlines the contribution of B.-Y. Yanivskyi and B. Stelmakh in the vocal heritage of Ukraine in the second half of XX – the beginning of XXI century. Brief biographical information about authors is presented in this article. Separate aspects of creative communication of both artists which is based on the periodicals, musical and critical publications also are mentioned here. Two different types of vocal compositions accompanied by piano are analyzed: «Zalytsialnyky» (the first joint composition) and «Golubivna». The musical and theoretical analysis is carried out, features of the musical «presentation» of poetry in the composer's vocal heritage are revealed. The artistic-figurative content of poetry and its musical «reading»are highlighted, their role in the development of the Ukrainian vocal and popular music is determined.
