PIANO WORKS BY ANATOLIY KOS-ANATOLSKY IN CONTEXT UKRAINIAN MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS

Abstract

Some aspects of creation, publication and preservation of piano works of the outstanding Ukrainia n
composer, teacher, public figure Anatoliy Kos-Anatolsky are covered. Important attention is paid to the new
edition of the artist's piano heritage, which includes more than ten compositions that are published for the first
time among which a series of preludes occupies a prominent place. The performance aspect of A. Kos-Anatolsky's
piano works is revealed, the question of the embodiment of the artistic image, the circumstances of their first
performance and the significance in concert-performing and pedagogical practice are outlined.
