ZINOVII SHTOKALKO’S ART SYNERGY: TRADITION AND INNOVATION (DEDICATED TO 100TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY)

Abstract

The article deals with the artistic heritage of a prominent Ukrainian diaspora artist – Zinovii Shtokalko (1920–1968). The main priorities of his activity in the field of bandura art are being defined – performing, educationalmethodical, sound recording, as well as in the literary field – as a modernist writer and fine arts – as an artist. The synergetic interaction of different directions of Z. Shtokalko's art, their orientation on synthesis of the Ukrainian national tradition and style innovations of time are being analyzed.
