INTERPRETATION OF EUROPEAN MUSIC BY CHINESE SINGERS: GERMAN SONG LYRICS PERFORMED BY DILBER YUNUS

Abstract

The features of modern versions of the reading of chamber-vocal works of European composers by Chinese
singers are considered. The preconditions and ways of forming the traditions of the Chinese vocal school, the processes
of adaptation of Western models of performing culture and the combination of various specifics of musical thinking are
characterized. The principles of the formation of the repertoire policy of Chinese vocalists are revealed. Based on the
analysis of songs of German composers of the era of early and late romanticism «Auf Flügeln des Gesanges» by Felix
Mendelssohn and «Mariä Wiegenlied» by Max Reger performed by the outstanding Chinese singer Dilber Yunus, the
conclusions are formulated that in the process of adapting European samples in Chinese versions, the phonic profile of
vocal miniatures may be disturbed, and their content may be saturated with new meanings, forming the basis for
creative interpretive a nationally oriented approach
